EMPLOYMENT

EMPLOYMENT

Employment law is the body of laws and administrative rules that address the legal rights of, and restrictions on, workers and their employers.  It mediates many aspects of the relationship between employees, employers and, in some cases, trade unions.

Our attorneys represent both individual employees and employers in specific areas related to employment law, including:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating employment, equity/options/grant, operating agreements and such other agreements governing the employer-employee relationship
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating separation and severance agreements
  • Litigating on the enforcement or defense of Restrictive Covenants (Non-Compete Covenants, Confidentiality Agreements, etc.)
  • Litigating on the non-payment and misclassification of Independent Contractors

We also represent entrepreneurs who act as independent contractors or “gig workers”, advising them on contractual matters and representing them in contract disputes or in litigation under the NYC “Freelance Isn’t Free Act.”
