Amazon announced plans to hire 250,000 seasonal employees across its U.S. fulfillment and transportation network for the upcoming 2025 holiday season—matching its hiring pace from the last two years, according to Reuters. The company continues to lean on its nationwide logistics footprint to meet peak delivery demand while maintaining operational stability.
Seasonal positions will pay an average of over $19 per hour, while full- and part-time roles offer about $23 per hour plus benefits, Reuters reported. Amazon has also committed more than $1 billion toward higher wages and reduced healthcare costs for its logistics workforce—part of its ongoing effort to retain talent amid rising competition for hourly labor.
The move comes as other major retailers scale back holiday hiring in response to inflation pressures, tariff uncertainty, and increasing automation, according to AP News. Despite those headwinds, Amazon’s consistent hiring plan reflects its confidence in consumer demand and its continued investment in supply chain resilience.
